Traveling To, From & Around Portland

Portland International Airport (PDX) is just a short distance from the Double Tree hotel, where the conference will be held. Enjoy a 15 min drive or a 25 minute ride on the red line of Portland’s light rail system, called the MAX. The Double Tree hotel is just 2 blocks from the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Avenue MAX station.

The MAX and bus system are a great way to explore the city during your stay. You can easily plan your trips around the city using the TriMet Trip Planner. Additionally, the city is served by a number of cab companies. Note that you must call a cab to arrange a ride. It is illegal for a driver to stop for people hailing cabs.

The hotel’s location in the inner Northeast section of the city, makes it is easy to explore the whole city. The hotel is just blocks from the MAX. So a quick trip downtown with your new friends to dine at hip restaurants, visit the PSU Farmer’s Market, or to get a drink at the Benson Bubblers is as easy as pie (did someone say pie? Yumm!). Or you can hop a bus or bike to the Southeast for some coffee love, check out the urban wineries, or to hike a volcano. Head north to window shop on Alberta, enjoy a soak, or dine at a food cart.
